Q. “Why am I unable to login?”

A. Most login problems are browser related issues. To resolve 90% of login problems you simply have to come out of and close your internet browser, then go back in and try your login again. Refreshing your browser by pressing the F5 key can do the same thing. These actions clear any temporary files from the cache which may be causing the problem. Many of our customers are members of more than one of our sites and this can be a particular problem for them switching between sites. Fortunately, the problem is easily resolved. Q. “Why don't people upload a photo of themselves?”

A. A lot of Free registrations don't get as far as adding a photo or updating thier profile. They join, have a look around and then leave. When searching you can set the search to only display members who have photo's, this way you know that everyone you see is active on the site and wants to be contacted.

Q. “If I don't have a photo can you do it for me?”

A. Yes, login to your account and you can find details of our photo uploading service.

Q. “Can I stop all the e-mail messages and winks that I get from Somanysingles?”

A. Yes, login to your account and you can switch off the e-mails. Be sure to check your account on a regular basis tho' just in case you get a bite!

Q. “How safe is my information on Somanysingles?”

A. Very safe! You remain completely anonymous until you're ready to be contacted. Additionally the site is 'Hacker Safe' which means that your personal information is very very safe with us.

Q. “Why do I get messages from people who all seem to be located -1 mile away from me.”

A. In order to work out distances correctly, the system needs to know where everyone is located and it does this by using the postcode. Unfortunately, many people do not enter their post code when they complete their profile. This leaves the system unable to calculate the distance. So if either you or the person messaging you has not entered their post code into their profile, the system will default to -1 miles. Incidentally, the post code cannot be seen by the public and there is absolutely no danger to the user in completing it and it really will help get you found.

Q. “Mysteriously (and this keeps happening) as soon as there is a new member on the site - I seem to get a message from them, no matter what part of the country they are in”.

A. When a new member upgrades to full membership, they quite naturally want to get their money’s worth, it’s just human nature. And so they will search for people to contact and the more outgoing will message everyone who fits the bill.

Q. "Why do I receive so many messages addressed to' Hey Guys' or 'Hi Fellas'?"

A. See above, I think certain members are perhaps more practical and are making good use of the “cut and paste” feature of their word processors when fishin'

Q.What is the difference between UK only dating and the UK and international sites..

A. Somanysingles UK only is predominantly for people who live in the UK and was created prior to our International sites. They are seperate databases and so UK only members do not have access to International members and vice vresa. Some people resident in the UK prefer to keep their searches to the UK only whilst others take a more global view so the choice is there. We are planning country specific sites for several other key territories.

Q. “I hope there isn't someone on the site sending out bogus mass emails to make us think that the site is genuine???

A. The writer of the above question seemed to be getting a lot of private messages and complaining because it was assumed to be bogus. We can assure everyone that all private messages and winks sent and received are genuine contacts from other full members. I know that we live in cynical times, but occasionally things are just what they claim to be. Somanysingles is a very sucessful site and as such attracts a lot of activity from members, which is good, isn't it?
